Cavium Networks (NASDAQ: CAVM) is a provider of highly integrated semiconductor products that enable intelligent processing in networking, communications, storage and security applications. We refer to our products as enabling intelligent processing because they allow customers to develop networking equipment that is application-aware and content-aware and securely processes voice, video and data traffic at high speeds. Our products are used in a broad array of networking, communications, storage and security equipment, including routers, switches, content-aware switches, UTM and other security appliances, application-aware gateways, voice/video/data, or triple-play, gateways, wireless local area network, or WLAN, and 3G access and aggregation devices, storage networking equipment, servers and intelligent network interface cards. Cavium Networks' products consists of integrated, software compatible security and Multicore MIPS64 processors ranging in performance from 10 Mbps to 20 Gbps.

- OCTEON Multi-core MIPS64 Processors:
Includes OCTEON CN58XX, CN57XX, CN56XX, CN55XX, CN54XX, CN52XX, CN50XX, CN38XX, CN31XX and CN30XX SoC processors processors with 1 to 16x
cnMIPS™ cores on a chip, along with the
most advanced networking, security and application
hardware acceleration. The cnMIPS™ core
is Cavium’s custom implementation of MIPS64
release 2, optimized for networking and services
with very low power consumption. The OCTEON
processor family offers unmatched scalability,
performance and integration in a fully compatible
manner from 200Mbps to full-duplex 10Gbps of network
application performance.
- NITROX Security Processors:
Includes four families of security processor NITROX, NITROX Lite, NITROX II and NITROX PX span in performance from 50 Mbps to 10 Gbps of IPsec, SSL WLAN security, and 1K to 40K sessions/sec. These products provide a high degree of flexibility, hardware scalability and software compatibility,as well as the highest performance in the marketplace.
- ECONA ARM Core Processors: Includes two main product lines, the ECONA CNS1XXX and the ECONA CNS2XXX. The ECONA family of ARM processors delivers a wide variety of highly integrated embedded SoC options at industry leading BOM cost and performance per watt. These processors implement the ARM™ core processor technology along with innovative hardware offload engines to provide up to Gigabit rate processing in the 1.5-3W power range.
- Embedded
Processors: Includes OCTEON CN50XX, CN30XX and NITROX Soho products. These products provide leading integration and price/performance for SME/SOHO equipment, Broadband/Consumer and Control-plane applications from 10 Mbps to 1 Gbps. This product line is first to deliver the performance of 64-bit computing, dual-core and integrated Level-2 cache starting at sub-$20 prices.
- Accelerator Boards: Includes Accelerator boards for security, compression and TCP applications with performance from 50 Mbps to 4 Gbps and availible in a variety of form factors including PCI/PCI-X and PCI-Express add-in cards and Gigabit Ethernet NICs.
- FIPS 140-2 Level 2 and 3 Acceleration
Boards: Includes FIPS 140-2 Level 2 and 3 compliant security accelerator boards for customers with the highest level of security requirements. This scalable product family offers the best performance and price/performance to OEM customers targeting the highly security conscious government, financial and healthcare markets.
